Booking Terms & Conditions
Introduction
These Booking Terms & Conditions govern reservations and stays at Zaire Lodge, an Alojamento Local(Local Accommodation) registered in Portugal under registration number 175730/AL.
By making a reservation, guests acknowledge that they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
Reservations
Reservations may be made:
– directly by email;
– by telephone;
– through authorized third-party booking platforms.
A reservation becomes binding only after it has been confirmed by Zaire Lodge or through the relevant booking platform.
Prices
All prices are displayed in Euro (€).
Prices include all applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Any local tourist tax, where applicable, will be clearly communicated before the reservation is confirmed.
Payment
Payment conditions depend on the booking method. For direct bookings, payment instructions will be provided during the reservation process. Reservations made through third-party booking platforms are subject to the payment terms and conditions of the respective platform.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation conditions depend on how the reservation was made.
Direct Bookings
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, direct reservations are generally non-refundable after confirmation. Any exceptions remain entirely at the discretion of Zaire Lodge.
Third-Party Booking Platforms
Reservations made through Booking.com, Airbnb or other booking platforms are subject to the cancellation policy selected during the booking process. Guests should consult the terms displayed by the respective platform before completing their reservation.
Check-in
Check-in is available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival.
Guests are kindly requested to inform us of their expected arrival time in advance whenever possible.
Early check-in cannot be guaranteed and is subject to availability.
Check-out
Check-out must be completed by 11:00 AM on the day of departure.
Late check-out may be available upon prior request and only if operationally possible. Additional charges may apply where agreed.
Adults-Only Accommodation
Zaire Lodge is an adults-only accommodation. Reservations including children or infants cannot be accepted.
House Rules
Guests agree to respect the accommodation, neighbouring properties and other guests throughout their stay. The House Rules form an integral part of these Terms & Conditions.
Failure to comply with the House Rules may result in the termination of the stay without entitlement to a refund where permitted by law.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted inside any building or guest accommodation. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. Guests are requested to dispose of cigarette waste responsibly.
Pets
Pets are not permitted.
Parties and Events
Parties, celebrations, gatherings and events are not permitted.
The accommodation is intended for guests seeking a peaceful and relaxing stay.
Quiet Hours
To ensure the comfort of all guests and neighbours, quiet hours are observed daily from:
10:00 PM until 8:00 AM
Guests are kindly requested to keep noise to a minimum during these hours.
Guest Responsibility
Guests are expected to take reasonable care of the accommodation and its furnishings throughout their stay. Although no security deposit is required, guests remain responsible for any damage caused through negligence, misuse or intentional acts. Reasonable repair or replacement costs may be charged where appropriate.
Personal Belongings
Guests remain responsible for their personal belongings during their stay. Zaire Lodge cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property unless liability arises under mandatory applicable law.
Force Majeure
Zaire Lodge shall not be liable for failure to fulfil its obligations where performance is prevented or delayed by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Such circumstances include, but are not limited to:
– natural disasters;
– extreme weather;
– fire;
– government restrictions;
– epidemics or pandemics;
– utility failures;
– other unforeseeable events.
Limitation of Liability
We make every reasonable effort to provide accurate information and high-quality accommodation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to direct damages arising from our proven negligence. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by Portuguese or European Union law.
Privacy
Personal data provided during the booking process is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Portugal.
Any mandatory consumer protection rights applicable under the laws of the guest’s country of residence remain unaffected where required by law.
